Next weekend (20/ 21 May) I have two things going on in London.
One is a larp, the other is a workshop.
One is free, the other is £15 (negotiable).
Both are 🐭
Saturday 20 May
12.15-5.30pm, Res. Enclave 1-4, London SE8 4AL
This is a new larp* by Hamish MacPherson with Sarah Jury and Nina Runa Essendrop. In it, a silent encounter offers a brief window into the relationship between two or three beings, objects or sites. It might be about a healer and their patient, or two friends, perhaps one of those friends is not a human but a dog, or an ancient tree, or even an entire landscape.
This work exists on the intersection between somatic practice and larp. It is lightly structured and involves each player building internal narratives based on their physical interactions with an emphasis on playing out passivity and activity in these relationships.
THE GREAT INVISIBLE
Workshop with Katherine Hall and Hamish MacPherson
1-5pm, The Trampery, London EC1V 9EY
An inclusive workshop suitable for anyone with a professional or personal interest in performance and care.
Over the afternoon Katherine and I will guide everyone through simple movement and improvisation exercises, holding a space to explore questions like 'what can performing care look like?' and 'how do we give, take, disperse attention?'
Our income for this workshop is from ticket sales only however we really don't want anyone to be held back from attending this workshop due to price. Please drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org to explore options.
