New Arts Funding Model at Council: to more effectively support Canada’s artistic ecosystem, the Canada Council for the Arts is moving towards the implementation of a new arts funding model. Read more

Nominations are now open for the Business for the Arts 2015 Edmund C. Bovey Award, to honour a business professional who has demonstrated a lifetime of significant philanthropy or leadership in arts and culture in Canada. Read more

Arts Build's LEARN IT | BUILD IT | MANAGE IT is the first province-wide workshop designed to help nonprofit organizations, including theatres, performing arts and community centres, gain knowledge and skills around building, managing and financing the facilities. The workshops will be presented in 10 Ontario communities from October 2014 through March 2016. Read more

Tribute to Sylvia Whitaker

Sylvia Whitaker, founding member and driving force of the Cornwall Concert Series for almost 30 years, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 after a brief illness. A lifetime educator, Sylvia was recognized with the Queen’s Jubilee Medal 2003 for her outstanding contributions and Cornwall’s Citizen of the Year in 2009. Condolences on behalf of Ontario Presents and Ontario Classical Music Network.
