NETWORK NEWS & EVENTS

Are you a member of OP who is interested in collaborating as an active leader with us?

Ontario Presents is currently accepting expressions of interest for new Directors on our Board.

For a 3 year term, you will represent and assist Ontario Presents as we strengthen and support the practice of performing arts presentation so that it becomes more collaborative, artist-focused, and meaningful to communities.

The primary prerequisite for being considered to serve on the board is a desire to engage and be accountable to the membership with a commitment to attend and share at  meetings. Experience with OP and not-for-profit boards is preferred. Please note that nominations from the floor will also be accepted during the AGM on June 15th, 2022 prior to the confirmation of the candidate slate, and if necessary, a vote to finalize the new board members. Following which, the complete list of Directors will be officially announced.

Please send an email with your name, contact information and reason for wanting to serve on the board to Claire Senko, current Vice President.

Please note: Board membership requires you to be a member of OP.

The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, May 18th, 2022.

Indigenous Spotlight: Dancing the Land

Dancing the Land
Our Indigenous spotlight this month comes in the form of this new video series from the NAC called Dancing the Land.

For Dancing the Land, Indigenous Theatre invited artists from coast to coast to coast to create brief digital works using the land as their source of inspiration. We were gifted passionate, raw, and beautiful explorations of the artists’ relationships to the land and this moment in time.

Over the next 12 months, the NAC will present 18 creations from across Turtle Island and beyond. These pieces come from community; they arrive by the roots of the people who have always been here.

Find out more here.
