LOTUS & LIME is partnering with CTAHR to open up THREE student internship positions, one in business, social media, and as a Seamstress Assistant!

This amazing opportunity will give Fashion Design and Merchandising Students an incredible view of all aspects that go into designing, creating, and marketing a clothing brand. Lotus & Lime represented Hawaii at New York Fashion Week in 2022 and are constantly working, dressing celebrities, at Pop-Up Mākeke, and at Merrie Monarch!

Be a Zoo Camp Instructor For the Summer! 
Honolulu Zoological Society

Salary: $15.00 - $16.00 Depending on experience level
Mandatory Training Dates: May 23rd– May 27th
Camp Dates: May 31st– August 5th(Monday – Friday)
Shift: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (Monday – Friday)

JOB SUMMARY

Help us to make a difference – join the dedicated crew in our Education Department! We are passionate about what we do – teaching our guests about animals and conservation – while striving to create unforgettable experiences. The Honolulu Zoo Society's Education Department offers day camps during the spring, summer, fall, and winter.

Camps run 8:00am to 2:30pm, with optional aftercare available with pick-up times at 4:00pm and 5:30pm.

Summer Zoo Camp is ten one-week sessions running Monday – Friday, May 31st– August 5th. During the mandatory training dates, instructors will be provided with the curriculum to familiarize themselves.

One Instructor will lead each camp, age group under the supervision of the Director of Education and Education Coordinator.

Based out of Hawaii, you’ll have the opportunity to work as part of multi-disciplinary project teams associated with our Western Canada Offices to contribute to government and privately-owned infrastructure projects with significant field programs. Your location is Hawaii is attractive because when our field crews end their workday and a variety of tasks need to be completed, it is still normal business hours in Hawaii.

This will be a temporary 12 month position with expected full-time or near full-time hours. There is an opportunity for contract extension. The position does not require you to work in a Jacobs office.

You will review wildlife data collection efforts and provide technical support for the duration of construction. You may also assist with the development of methodology, technical reports, and regulatory applications as needed. This is a science-based role, and the effective candidate will be considered a technical expert and demonstrate their ability to defend the technical rigor of their work.

Kaua'i Field Technician 
The Nature Conservancy

The Kaua'i Terrestrial Program manages nine units within the priority watershed protection area of Kaua'i's upland montane forest and bogs. These units consist of over 15,000 acres, including both public and private lands, and 18 miles of ungulate fences. We have a dedicated and enthusiastic team based out of offices in Lihue. Some remote office work may be required.

The Field Technician performs and participates in all aspects of forest protection operations, maintenance and management of equipment, vehicles and facilities for the Kaua'i Terrestrial Program. The Field Technician also records, compiles, and reports on monitoring data. The Field Technician typically spends every other week camping and working within one field site and may do multiple day trips or a single overnight trip during the alternating weeks. This is a full-time position funded for 2 years.

Dietitian Aide Needed Part Time! 
Pali-Momi Medical Center















With 118 beds and more than 400 physicians on its medical staff, Pali Momi Medical Center offers a full range of services for the communities of Central and West O'ahu. The hospital has delivered many medical firsts for the community, including Central and West O'ahu’s only interventional cardiac catheterization unit to detect and treat heart disease, a fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suite, a comprehensive women’s center, CT scan and MRI services, and the state’s first retina center. Pali Momi is the only facility in Hawai'i that uses a team triage approach in its emergency room, where patients are promptly evaluated by an emergency physician.

Our Food and Nutrition Services provide quality nutritious meals to patients, visitors and staff while educating on the importance of healthy eating habits. We also work with medical staff to ensure accurate diet modifications for patients as needed. The department is responsible for performing a variety of general preparation and food service activities, including tray assembly and delivery, working in the cafeteria, cashiering, ware washing, assisting with pantry functions, nourishment activities and catering.

If you are a responsible and caring individual with great communication skills, you could share valuable nutritional and dietary information with Pali Momi patients and staff. As the Dietician Aide, you will help to produce patient menus based on individual care plans and needs, as well as other duties related to maintaining patient diet records and general office support for the department. We are looking for someone who pays careful attention to detail, works well others in a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere and shares our commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Test your startup team's grit and gain invaluable feedback from business mentors by participating in the 2022 Summer Startup Launchpad!

Over the course of six weeks, participants will learn and practice the lean startup methodology, which challenges teams to gather data and test assumptions to help them make business decisions. Once learned, the method can be applied to any business idea with the goal of preventing founders from prematurely spending valuable resources.

Teams participate for free, thanks to a generous sponsorship from the Mamoru and Aiko Takitani Foundation. 
Participants will be asked to connect online, so teams can participate from anywhere! Teams that complete the program requirements will be awarded $4,000.
