Mass opened to the public
This weekend parishes in the Diocese of Austin return to the public celebration of the Mass.  As we work together to help curb the spread of COVID-19, there are protocols in place limiting building occupancy based on maintaining a 6-foot distance between people and families.  The diocese has sent out protocols and best practices to the parishes to help keep people safe as we celebrate the sacraments.  Please check your parish website for further information and instructions.

Diocesan offices open
The Pastoral Center, Catholic Charities of Central Texas and Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center will open on May 11. Social distancing protocols will be in effect.

Encountering Christ Campaign

Thank you to the very generous donors in our diocese. Despite the pandemic, there have been very few pledge cancellations and suspensions.
To date, we have received $32.6 million in pledge payments.  Now the work to ensure pledges are fulfilled begins. In order to fully fund the campaign case elements, fulfillment of pledges is critical. A benchmark to measure parish fulfillment rate success at this point is that Pilot parishes should be near 50% of payment on pledges, Wave One parishes should be between 40 to 50%, Wave Two parishes should be at 25 to 35% and Wave Three parishes should be at 15 to 20%. Congratulations to the top three parishes by wave who have the highest fulfillment rate. Wave One: St. Joseph, Cyclone; St. Michael, Burlington; and Holy Rosary, Frenstat. Wave Two: St. Mary, Our Lady of the Lake, Lago Vista; St. Paul the Apostle, Horseshoe Bay; and St. Anthony, Bryan. Wave Three: Santa Rosa, Andice, St. Mary, Brenham; and Good Shepherd, Johnson City. St. Paul Chong Hasang, Harker Heights is the leader for the independent campaign.

EIM workshops
EIM Workshops have been postponed during this time of COVID-19; however, the EIM Office has created a Temporary Online EIM Training to fulfill the compliance requirement for those who already have an EIM account and are due or past due to attend an EIM Workshop. [En Español]
