Happy New Year 2018
To You and Your Loved Ones!
Many of us are looking forward to putting 2017 behind us and starting a new year, but 2018 will be highly charged and feelings will run high. Expectations can swing from low to high, and you may feel like you have to constantly adjust. Being able to find and maintain emotional balance is one of the challenges.
The numerology picture reveals that we’ll focus on how to bridge the gap between the old and the new. And, there should be more potential for bringing light to subjects that have been covered up and not dealt with.
2018 = 2 + 0 + 1 + 8 = 11/2
The progression of evolutionary unfoldment vibrates to #11 and #2. While last year was a #10/1 masculine, aggressive energy with an 'in your face attitude,' this year #11/2 is a feminine energy which means we should be more receptive to change.
Number 11 is considered a Master Number and is not reduced any further, yet the energy of 2 is still taken into consideration. The energy of #11 will make us feel rather nervous and sensitive, yet it will help us be more open minded to the uncharted nature of our intuition.

Universal Life Energy
You must know what it is first!
It’s what we live on! It’s the air we breath!
It’s what holds our body together!
It’s the gravity that holds us on the earth!
It’s the essence of The Great Law! God!
It’s always there, has always been there and will always be!
We are made of it! We move and have our being because of it!
Our problem is we’ve forgotten this!
You must be your own Scientist! Learn to concentrate it! Experiment with it!
Be your own doctor and heal and relieve your physical and mental ailments with it! We have to prove it to our self by living and knowing our self, it can be seen in subtle ways or very dramatic ways!
But, you are the only one who can understand it, to use it In a conscious way, everyday, make sure you make the effort!
It’s your problem. It’s not a mystery any more in this day and time! People are searching for a deep meaning of who and what they are really made of.
What can they count on.
Is there a bona fide way to make Life feel right? The study of Science of Being makes complete Sense!!!!
You have to apply Universal Life Energy in everything you do!
Be a scientist of your Life, then there will be no doubt that Universal Life Energy is Real!!!!
Always Love, MRLB

What are we doing?
New Years celebrations - memes - and the Law of Gender!
A thought, idea or an emotion flows from our consciousness (masculine gender) to our subconsciousness (feminine gender) and grows in that fertile feminine ground. And over time, because in the current human state of consciousness time is a factor of gestation and growth, it resurfaces to the consciousness.
This is how we are conditioned and programmed that become traditions, superstitions, beliefs and cultures. This process of mimicking is very contagious. And, the mimics are known as memes. Read more on our Enlightenment Site.

New Year's Traditions in the South
Humans are a superstitious bunch. And that usually means we’ve got all kinds of traditions to help bring in good luck and ward off evil spirits. In the South, that usually revolves around something we all love dearly: food. Read more from Wide Open Country.

There is a destiny that makes us brothers:
None goes his way alone:
All that we send into the lives of others
Comes back onto our own.

New Year's Resolutions
Why do they eventually go by the wayside after a few weeks and are forgotten ?
Resolutions are a response to wanting to change, usually for the good. They are sparked by a feeling or idea that present conditions need to stop or improve. An idea or thought without follow-through is just idea or thought. Some resolutions require immediate action in regards to health and exercise. Others are better in a slow incorporation of practices, building up to a regular process that then seems as if it was the only way.
A Resolution is like a flame. If you give it the proper amount of oxygen, it will burn hotter and brighter. But, if you starve or push too much on the flame it will be extinguished. Starving is ignoring the idea and pushing too much is using will power to accomplish all the work.
As well, a resolution is not restricted to the new year. It can begin on the first day of the month, a birthday, an anniversary or even the first day of a new season. The point is, try to make small meaningful adjustments to bring good health, well-being, mindfulness and a rhythm that encourages you to take the next step in your new adventure.

"Evil, the Great Teachers revealed, is not an affliction visited on people from outside by some malign Force. Mankind are the authors of their own Evil, which is nothing more than the result of their violations, conscious or unconscious, of those Laws of the Universe."

Southern Traditions for Good Luck in the New Year!
Food plays an important role in the South, especially around the New Year. Many dishes this time of year will include ham, bacon or sausage for health, cabbage or greens for wealth, and black-eyed peas for good luck and happiness. Here are two dishes to help you cook your way into a great new year!
Corned Beef and Veggies in the Crockpot
3 to 5 pound corned beef (plus seasoning packet)
5 or 6 red potatoes
1 pound peeled julienned or baby carrots
2 onions, quartered
1 small head of cabbage
Water to cover
Wash and quarter the red potatoes. Place potatoes and carrots in crockpot, covering bottom. Remove seasoning packet from corned beef. Place corned beef on top of veggies in crockpot. Place quartered onions around corned beef, making a flat layer. Open seasoning packet and sprinkle over meat. Add water to crockpot until it just covers the corned beef. Core cabbage and cut into wedges. Place on top of corned beef in crockpot. Cook on low for 10 to 12 hours. Remove veggies and meat. Let corned beef rest at least 10 minutes before slicing.
Got leftovers? This makes delicious corned beef hash or Reuben sandwiches!
Black-eyed Peas
3 12oz packages frozen black-eyed peas
1/2 cup of ham, sausage or 5 strips of bacon
1 small onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon 'Slap Ya Mama' Cajun seasoning or similar (optional)
Water to cover
If using bacon, brown in pan, remove and crumble. Sauté onions and green bell peppers in bacon grease (or 1 tablespoon oil if not using bacon) until soft. If oil was used, drain from pan. Add black-eyed peas and meat to onions and green bell peppers. Add seasonings and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer. Cook for recommended time on frozen black-eyed peas package (usually 30 to 45 minutes). Enjoy!
