Stress & Resilience: How Toxic Stress Affects Us, and What We Can Do About It
We know that healthy development can be derailed by excessive or prolonged activation of stress response systems in the body and brain. We know that toxic stress can have damaging effects on learning, behavior, and health across the lifespan. But what can we do when someone we care about is affected by toxic stress? 

In this video, learn more about what toxic stress is, how it can affect you, and what you can do—both by yourself and in connection with your community—to deal with what you're experiencing.

The Center on the Developing Child and Novak Djokovic Foundation are bringing together a new generation of leaders who will drive innovation that impacts the early childhood field and the lives of children facing adversity.

The Djokovic Fellowship is open to advanced Harvard University doctoral students whose research aligns with the Center's mission. Students from any field and all Harvard schools are eligible to apply. The application for the 2020-2021 academic year is available now. Applications are due by January 3, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. E.S.T.
