InBrief: Early Childhood Mental Health

Mental Health Video
The foundation for sound mental health begins in early childhood. As early experiences and relationships interact with genes, they shape brain architecture. Disruptions in this developmental process can impair a child’s capacities for learning, behavior, and emotional control. This video explains how improving children’s early environments can prevent initial difficulties from destabilizing mental health later in life.
