How Hatcham Park Road might look in 2022...

Emergency Hatcham Society meeting on Sunday (Feb 9), 9.30am at 88 Hatcham Park Road - All invited

We must meet as locals as soon as possible because Sainsbury's plans for their New Cross Gate site have now been released. We have until March 15 to respond to the council. More details here. And yes, they propose blocking the Bakerloo line extension into the area along with allowing traffic back into Hatcham through New Cross Road. And there will be huge towers with more than 1000 new homes which will look out of place and cause huge pressures on our already over-stretched local services...

Sainsburys also say homes in Brocklehurst Street, Harts Lane, Brighton Grove, Robert Lowe Close (worst affected), Hatcham Park Road, Nettleton Road will face "major adverse" effects from the development in terms of overshadowing. But how many more homes exactly will face adverse effects? ALL OF US!

We have a secondary meeting for New X Gate Action Group on February 17th (Monday) at 7.30pm at Hatcham House (Not the flats but the entrance is to the left). It's a fabulous new co-working space for locals. There will be a bar there too so bring cash. Also councillors will be there with more information on how exactly we can oppose Sainsbury's plans.
