Project Sticker Shock Operations

This year Day One has partnered with 11 local liquor retailers to raise awareness of the spike in underage drinking during the 2022 Super Bowl LVI and St. Patrick's Day holiday. We want to give a special thanks to our local liquor retailers for allowing our interns and Youth Advocates to place alcohol prevention campaign materials at their stores. Special shoutout to Latin America Market, Argentina Market, M&S liquor, A-1 Liquor, All Star Liquor, Danny's Liquor, Showcase Wine and Spirit, Mission Wine and Spirit, Lake Avenue Market, Alta-Dena Dairy, and Alta Dena Drive-In-Dairies for your leadership and helping reduce youth access to alcohol and reinforce safe retail practices. Project Sticker Shock Interns and our Youth Advocates placed over 11 campaign posters and 1,800 warning stickers on beer, alco-pops, and other alcohol multipacks to help remind adults that it is illegal to purchase or provide alcohol to anyone under the age of 21. Our Project Sticker Shock Interns and Youth Advocates plan to continue working with local alcohol retailers to prevent underage drinking and help promote safe drinking practices during major drinking holidays.
