Knitting Notions
Knitting Notions sneak peek new yarn colors

New Yarn Colors!

The new additions to our line are now available on the website! You may remember from our last email that we have 3 new colors this year; Peridot, Tiger Lily, and Earthshine. The first two are semi-solids which are dyed on all 5 yarn bases. Earthshine is a multi-color hand paint and is dyed only on the Merino Superwash Sock and the Merino Lace.

New colors mean that some other colors have to go. I know it's sad, but our loss is your gain. :-) We have marked all the discontinued colors at 50% their original price to move them out fast and make room for the new. The sale price is good until they are gone, so get them while they last! You can find them all in one place in our Specials category on the website.

Sock Keepers

We are pleased to announce that we have more Sock Keepers in stock! We apologize for their temporary absence. We know that some of you have been waiting for them, and thank you for your patience.

Limited Edition Colors

We have a new section on our website where you will occasionally find offerings from our dyepots that are not repeatable. If you are old enough to remember Bob Ross you will also recall that he said there are no mistakes with art, just "happy accidents". What he meant is that sometimes things don't go as you planned but they are still pretty. Often we are experimenting to formulate new colors and have extras in colorways that aren't quite what we were going for. Other times I make make mistakes when mixing formulas and they are slightly off from the color I was intending to mix. Anything like that can show up here. All the skeins are free from defect, but aren't part of our regular repeatable palette. We mark them down a little to sweeten the deal. :-)

Well, we have a few up for sale right now. What are you waiting for? Go check them out. :-)

Upcoming Fiber Festivals

Stitches South is almost here! We will be leaving mid week for Atlanta. Our booth numbers are 227-229. It's such a treat for us to attend festivals in our own Southeast territory and hope some of you will be joining us in the fun!

May is a very busy month for us with festivals almost every weekend. On Mother's Day weekend we will be at the Shepherd's Harvest Festival in Lake Elmo, MN. This will be our second year vending. We had such a great show last year and are looking forward to returning.

Next on the list is the Kentucky Sheep & Wool Festival in Lexington, KY, which is also a newer show for us. Last year was out maiden trip there and we are confident it will get better every year. The staff is wonderful and committed to building a first class festival. Be sure to check it out if you are in the area that weekend.

The following weekend is one of our long standing favorite festivals, the Great Lakes Fiber Festival in Wooster, OH.

To round out the end of the month we will be once again returning to the Hoosier Hills Fiber Festival in Franklin, IN, just south of Indianapolis. Hope to see lots of you there!
