We are trying to spread our membership meetings to various restaurants from both sides of our trail system. 

Meetings begin at 7:30pm
Dinner at 6pm

TOP STORIES

We Are Getting Close Now!
Our trails were a mess from the previous storms and warm weather.  Thanks to the many volunteers that stepped up and put many hours in clearing brush, posting signs, cutting trees and limbs, filling mud holes, dragging trails, etc.to get it ready for the deep freeze this weekend.  Many of our trails were blocked and not passable due to water holes and downed trees.  Our hope is that the cold temps will firms things up enough to make it safe to open.   We sincerely appreciate your patience!  Please stay tuned! We will post an update by Friday on whether the trails will be open!! 

Here are a few pictures to give you all an idea of what we were dealing with.  

Snowmobile Safety Class on January 7th
This was the 3rd and final safety class for the season. We had a full house at the Old Trail Inn and a 100% pass rate for all of the attendees.  Thanks to Al Sofen who led the class with help from his wife, Monique as well as help from our Safety Director, John Mercier and special guests from the State Forest Rangers.   

Horsehill Groomer Barn Progress
We finally have power and lights at the new groomer barn thanks to Paul Weston.  Paul has donated many hours of his personal time to wire and install lighting both inside and outside the barn.  Kurt Rychick, from Grade A Construction has also donated his time and equipment, such as the lift seen above in the picture. Ron Muller, Scott Todd, Bob Campbell , Al Sofen, Brian Phillips, Walt Schleiser, Bob Bacigalupo, and many more have also contributed countless hours. Thank you all!!!

TAKE A FRIEND SNOWMOBILING DAY

The goal of this event is to allow individuals the opportunity to try snowmobiling in a controlled and open environment. We will provide information on safety and operating instructions.  We will also provide the machines and helmets. You just need to come dressed appropriately for the winter conditions.

 
NEW to Gently USED GEAR will be available for purchase the day of! Come check it out! 
We are waiting on approval from the Town of Greenfield so this is a tentative event at this time. Please stay tuned for more details over the next few days.

REMINDER:
LOGGING THROUGHOUT THE SEASON!
Circled on this trail map is the area around SARA30 on Trail S80. Extreme Caution is required here, you must go very slow, and keep to the right. We share this trail with log trucks and the trail is narrow.

Also East of SARA30, active logging will be going on all season. If you cause concern for the loggers or the log truck drivers, we could lose the use of this trail for the season. This is the main connector trail between Route 9N, Tinney's, and the Great Sacandaga Reservoir.

SLED RAFFLE
Our 2nd Sled raffle will take place at our Membership Meeting at Tinney's Tavern on Thursday February 2nd! You do not want to miss this! Meeting begins at 7:30 and the raffle will take place at the end of the meeting.   Who will be the winner of the Gen4 Ski-Doo Renegade 600x?
