Funding announcements could lead to more school closings

The Ministry of Education has released details on school boards' funding; a new process for closing schools; and the next steps in changes to special education funding.

While rightfully lauding Ontario as having one of the best education systems in the world, Liz Sandals, Ontario's Minister of Education, also said, "We have to manager our funding more efficiently and we can no longer afford to fund underutilized school space."
