Job Point News Brief: March 2021 Newsletter

Dear <<First Name>>,

I hope that you had a wonderful time of reflection with family over this past Memorial Day weekend.

My family always spends it together telling stories and remembering those who are no longer with us. For me, it’s a reminder that we are all connected and that the lives we are living today are made possible because of the sacrifices of those who have come before us.

With this in mind, I am excited to share these stories of success with you today. The men and women featured here are taking the life they have been blessed with and are making the most of the opportunities they have found both here at Job Point and out in the community. They are finding ways to thrive with the support of their families, friends and the connections they are building here.

Like Mabel! I am so inspired by her positivity and love of learning. She had a great career, but knows there is still more out there for her and she wants to take advantage of that! What an amazing woman. And Chris! He is a hilarious young man with a bright future ahead of him. I have truly enjoyed watching him grow and come into his own while he has been here at Job Point.

We are glad to be a part of their growing network, thanks to you! I hope their stories inspire you this month.

Thank you for your support of our mission, our job seekers, our students and our team! We appreciate you so very much!

Chris Finds Inspiration and Hope

High School had left Christopher feeling unmotivated, excluded and labeled. He hated school. After routinely skipping class and not doing his homework, he dropped out.

“I took the whole summer off doing nothing, but I didn’t like the feeling of not going anywhere in life. This motived me to start looking for a way to get my high school diploma,” Christopher said.
