Yearbook Pictures Needed!
This year gathering photos for the MBP yearbook will look much different during remote learning! Please consider taking pictures of your student in their at-home learning space and while they are doing other activities at home (cooking/baking, playing outside, participating in sports, reading, crafting, playing with pets, etc.)
We would appreciate it if you'd send those photos to our yearbook advisors through the below QR code. Pictures taken on a phone are perfectly fine! Thank you for helping us to continue to make a yearbook during such a unique year!

Do you know about reFUEL?
ReFUEL, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) organization started by local Chathamites Jaime Detzi and DeLisa Cohen whose primary mission is to home deliver food and necessities to low-income children. Unlike many of the time-consuming local “backpack” programs ReFUEL has engineered a unique, easy to use, online system which facilitates the delivery of food (a Boost Box) and supplies to children in need nationwide. Margaret B. Pollard and Northwood are the two pilot projects started in Fall '18. The ReFUEL innovative online system saves students the sometimes embarrassing and burdensome task of carrying home an extra backpack and schools no longer need to shop, haul, store, pack or deliver food. Through your generous one time or monthly donation, each month ReFUEL will deliver a “Boost Box” of items to our identified students who have registered through their local school. The process is simple: students are registered through their schools, supplies are ordered on the ReFUEL website by experienced pantry professionals and a “Boost Box” is delivered directly to the student’s home.

PTA Thrift Shop work sessions are back!
We are currently booking PTA Thrift Shop work sessions for September and October at the Cole Park store.
If you’ve volunteered at a work session in the past, please know they will look a little different moving forward while COVID precautions are in effect. Here’s what you need to know:
- No more than 6 volunteers + 1 supervisor in the store at one time.
- Masks must be worn.
- Volunteers must use hand sanitizer (provided by supervisor) prior to entering store.
- A supervisor will ask each volunteer a few health-related questions before entering the store, and all answers must be “no.”
- Hands must be sanitized again upon exiting the store.
Volunteers will continue to help straighten the store for business the next day, and sessions will be held Monday – Friday in the evenings or Sundays from 2 – 4 p.m.
If you and your family, or a group of friends comfortable working together, would like to arrange a session and start earning hours for a club, teacher or team, please contact Cate House, Pollard PTA Thrift Shop Coordinator, she will then coordinate with you and a supervisor to secure a date.
