Christmas Day
If you are a fan of musicals, BBC2 is the place to go, with Singin’ in the Rain at 11.35am; Some Like It Hot at 1.15pm and La La Land at 10.10pm
If you prefer action and adventure, try the 1969 classic, The Italian Job at 3pm on C4
Boxing Day
BBC1 gets all nostalgic with Grease at 5pm, and if you haven't seen Dunkirk it is well worth a watch (if a bit brutal) at 9.05pm
BBC2 offers more classic musicals with Kiss Me Kate (10.40am), Calamity Jane (1.10pm), followed by 2 Lilly James movies - Keneth Branagh's Cinderella at2.50pm andThe Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, at 6.40pm
There's nothing like a good book - whether you need a bit of an escape from the noise of the family, or a bit of company this Christmas.
