THINGS TO DO THIS CHRISTMAS

Christmas Movies on TV

If you are looking for something to watch over Christmas, there are some real crackers on!

Christmas Day

If you are a fan of musicals, BBC2 is the place to go, with Singin’ in the Rain at 11.35am; Some Like It Hot at 1.15pm and La La Land at 10.10pm

If you prefer action and adventure, try the 1969 classic, The Italian Job at 3pm on C4

Boxing Day

BBC1 gets all nostalgic with Grease at 5pm, and if you haven't seen Dunkirk it is well worth a watch (if a bit brutal) at 9.05pm

BBC2 offers more classic musicals with Kiss Me Kate (10.40am), Calamity Jane (1.10pm),  followed by 2 Lilly James movies - Keneth Branagh's Cinderella at 2.50pm and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, at 6.40pm

There's nothing like a good book - whether you need a bit of an escape from the noise of the family, or a bit of company this Christmas.  Libraries are open (with the exception of the libraries at the Phoenix Centre and Westcroft) find out what is available at your local library here: https://bit.ly/2J2npkU
