Metro Board of Directors
The Board is scheduled to consider whether to certify the EIR

This meeting will take place in the Board Room at Metro Headquarters, 1 Gateway Plaza, Los Angeles.

On November 2, 2016, Metro released the Final EIR for the AMC 96th Street Transit Station. The Final EIR includes responses to the 74 comments received during the 46-day formal comment period of the Draft EIR, which concluded on August 6. To view the Final EIR online or to find a list of libraries where the document is available for public review, please visit the project website.

The AMC 96th Street Transit Station will add a new station to the currently under-construction Crenshaw/LAX Line to connect the airport to the region’s rail network via an Automated People Mover (APM) that is being planned, built and operated by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA).  The transit station is envisioned to be the new “Gateway” to LAX for transit riders and will be served by both the Metro Green and Crenshaw/LAX Lines.  It will feature three light rail platforms, a bus plaza for Metro and municipal buses, passenger pick-up/drop-off, a bicycle hub and amenities for pedestrians and bicyclists and a Metro Hub/terminal building that will provide the connection to the LAWA APM.
