This year’s NeoCon showroom gave a whole new meaning to the term 'feeling blue'. An inviting palette that included shades of navy, azure and cerulean created a serene and welcoming atmosphere, while an underlying typography theme - including custom larger-than-life lettering, gave the space attention-grabbing appeal.
Scores of exhibit-goers explored new introductions while taking part in the annual Encore/Arcadia cocktail party, where visitors were treated to signature ‘Aquatinis’ and hors d’oeuvres in the standing-room only space.
Amuse: Lending a cheerful spirit to any space, this slim stacker also has ganging capabilities to keep rows neat and tidy. Seat and back options include wood, upholstery and polypropylene in five colors.
Fling: Modern, inviting, and rich with design details, Fling is available in lounge and guest models with a wide array of knit suspension and frame finish color selections.
Clipse: An appealing offering of lounge, love seat and sofa options offer incomparable comfort when working, studying or simply waiting.
Particles: Collectively greater than the sum of their parts, Particles modular benches and tables can be combined to create imaginative configurations of all sizes.
Three days came and went in a flash, and while there were a few hiccups (the bathrooms all shutting down on the first night, for instance), for the most part, NeoCon 2014 was a stunning success. While a specific color trend didn’t prevail, the hues used throughout the mart were vivid and bright – all in all, the perfect backdrop for an inventive collection of products. From flooring to wallcoverings and furniture alike, NeoCon did not disappoint when it came to giving attendees the inspiration for designing beautiful spaces (and the giveaways weren’t too bad either).
