President's message:

Hello Eagle Scouts,

Now that spring is almost here, it’s the time that Scouts have to choose amongst a plethora of activities that they could be doing outdoors.   From sports to clubs to family vacations, it’s a constant priority exercise about whether Scouts is the activity of choice or not.  As a Scout reaches the end of the pathway to Eagle, they have to decide whether to finish the journey or take on other activities.   They have to ask the question, “what is the lifetime value of becoming an Eagle Scout?”  From scholarships to early military advancement, the Eagle Scout rank opens doors in all different walks of life, many unexpected.  It is often the only high school accomplishment that employers want to see on  a resume.  So when we see families making these choices this spring, remind them to enjoy the moment but help their Scouts think long-term, they’ll be glad they did.
