National Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Week: April 23-29

This year marks the 20th anniversary of National Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Week (NOTDAW), celebrated this week, April 23-29. Take this opportunity to reaffirm how important organ donation is to your network of family and friends. Ask them to take two important steps – register and talk to their family about their wishes.

According to the latest available statistics, in 2015, 4,585 Canadians were waiting for an organ transplantation; 3,471 of them were waiting for a kidney.

1 registered organ donor can help up to 8 people

Registering only takes a few minutes through your provincial registry. Register now!

RUSH 2017 Recipient of the Allan Slaight Humanitarian Spirit Award

RUSH is the 2017 recipient of the Allan Slaight Humanitarian Spirit Award. Each year, this award is presented to an outstanding Canadian artist, in recognition of their contribution to social activism and support of humanitarian causes. RUSH was honoured at the annual Canadian Music & Broadcast Industry Awards Gala Dinner last week. We want to take this opportunity to highlight the tremendous support of Alex Lifeson, who has for several years participated in the Brush of Hope art fundraising initiative and who helps us create awareness through this public service announcement. Every year, the walk brings over 15,000 patients, family members, caregivers, medical professionals and volunteers together to raise awareness and funds for those affected.

Are you ready?
Walks will be held from coast to coast between May and October.
Here are the first ones to take place:
