Why Become a Board Member?

"Being a Board member of a national health charity is not for the faint of heart." according to Dr. Julian Midgley, Immediate Past President of The Kidney Foundation's National Board (at right). "It requires hours of reading… and sitting… and talking… and sitting again (on planes, trains and automobiles, in economy). It requires commitment not only to the cause, but also to leadership and governance roles in Canadian charities. It demands a certain selflessness, giving up nights and weekends. But the rewards are great."

If you know someone that could fulfill this role, or would like to apply yourself, click here to download the application form or visit our website for more information.
