After nearly 4 years of dreaming and roll-up-the-sleeves hard work to reclaim the Coast Guard property for a new community neighborhood with affordable homes, bingo! The County's Request for Proposals has opened! CLAM and our non-profit development partner, Eden Housing, are creating a strong and vibrant affordable community housing proposal, due Jan. 20, 2020.

If the County selects CLAM & Eden in this competitive bidding process, it will be just the first step on a very long road. We will be reaching out soon to invite you to sit down with us so we can share what we know with you, and plan a strategy forward. We want to thank you all for the tremendous community effort that has gotten us to this point...we are so looking forward to taking the next steps together!

There are two important ways you can help right now. The first is to make as generous a year-end gift as you can. And second– because membership really counts– please invite everyone you know who is not already a member of CLAM to join. These actions are especially meaningful at this time in demonstrating the strength of our community's commitment to creating homes that local workers, families and seniors can afford.

We are getting closer. Thank you for dreaming this beautiful dream with CLAM!

Oyster-Out, and do a Good Deed for CLAM!
Hog Island Oyster Co has been a longtime supporter of CLAM, both as a business sponsor and last year as a host of our annual major donor appreciation event. They reached out to us last week to let us know that on December 14th, they are holding their annual “Dine & Donate” event at all of their locations, which includes their Marshall oyster farm and Tony’s Seafood Restaurant, also in Marshall. On this day, they will donate 10% of their proceeds to just four nonprofit organizations, and CLAM has been selected by their employees as their choice in West Marin. We are so proud to be in partnership with Hog Island to create homes in West Marin. Please let your friends know, and go out and enjoy the fruits of our own coast on Dec. 14. You'll be making a meaningful contribution to CLAM at the same time! Thank you Hog Island Oyster Co!

CLAM's Real Community Rentals program offers incentives for homeowners to create affordable rental units on their property.
