Dear Friends of CLAM,

Thanks to supporters like you, a local caregiver who works with seniors in West Marin can live near his workplace. And staff members at local nonprofits, including the Point Reyes National Seashore Association and Environmental Action Committee, live in homes that CLAM helped to create.

These are just a few of the 64 people who now live in stable homes that are affordable to working people and families and are helping seniors age in place.  The generosity of members like you has helped to provide homes for our neighbors, friends and families.

If you haven’t yet joined CLAM or made your year-end gift please consider it now. With your contribution, CLAM will continue creating homes while broadening understanding of the critical lack of housing in West Marin and the need for big solutions.

Even with our success, too many members of our community are struggling to stay here, or face long and difficult commutes every day because there are so few affordable places to live that are close to their jobs. The loss of our neighbors as people move away – artists, teachers, health aides, store staff, farm workers – affects everyone.

Now, CLAM has the thrilling once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to submit a proposal to reclaim the Point Reyes Coast Guard housing complex for permanently affordable housing. We hope to be chosen by the County in a competitive bidding process early in 2020, an important next step on a very long road.

Your membership in CLAM, and especially your donation today, will enable us to keep you informed and to continue our very successful work to bring new homes to West Marin.

Thank you and all the best,

Kim Thompson
Executive Director

P.S.  I hope you’ll include CLAM in your year-end giving.
If you recently contributed, thank you very much!
