The Global Risks Report 2016
World Economic Forum
Released during the World Economic Forum, the Global Risks Report 2016 draws attention to theways in which global risks could evolve and interact in the next decade. The report incorporates perspectives from nearly 750 experts on the perceived impact and likelihood of global risks over a 10-year period.

Kenya learning sessions: microinsurance business models for Africa
On the 6th and 7th April, the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Kenya, AB consultants, Financial Sector Deepening Kenya (FSDK), Munich Re Foundation, the ILO’s Impact Insurance Facility and the Centre for Financial Regulation and Inclusion (Cenfri) will be hosting a regional conference on microinsurance. Agriculture insurance conference, Geneva,  on 4th May 2016: registration now open
On the 4th May 4, 2016, the Facility and its partners are organizing a public conference to look into successful models in index insurance, and discuss key issues such as the role of governments in the sustainable provision of agriculture index insurance. Matchmaking workshop in Kenya (.doc)
The International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) invites expressions of interest from implementing agencies and researchers to participate in a matchmaking workshop, to be held in Nairobi, Kenya on 19-20 April. The deadline for applications is 23:59, 23rd February, 2016.

Housed at the International Labour Organization, the Impact Insurance Facility enables the insurance industry, governments, and their partners to realise the potential of insurance for social and economic development.
