Help with Items for Mary's Place

On October 28, Mary’s Place friends will be at Plymouth during our 11 o’clock service & at our stewardship brunch. During their visit, we’d like to present the Mary’s Place group with a symbol of our love & support. During the next two Sundays, could you & your family, (getting the kids involved of course), bring some of the suggested items shown here? The reality is that many of the women & families that come to Mary’s Place battle poverty; homelessness; live in their car; & arrive with only the clothes on their back. They can’t afford many of the items below & they cannot be purchased with food stamps. These simple items, that… Read full article >

Children's Chapel this Sunday

This Sunday will be the first Children's Chapel of the year. We will be using the story of the Lost Sheep with costumes, games, stories and song. The focus leader for this month will be helping with chapel, so we're going to keep the kids for the full 2 hours of the morning to minimize transitions. Anne Kiemle will be taking the 5/6 class to make sandwiches for their mission project for the 11am hour.

I am looking for volunteer helpers for one or both hours of the morning. Please let me know if you can help! You can email me at khollis@plymouthchurchseattle.org.

thanks and blessings!

Worshiping with Babies

Worshiping with babies is a very special way of spending the 11am hour on a Sunday morning. Babies are little bundles of vibrating energy that are close to God in a special and pure way. We are often drawn to the wonder at the world that we see through a baby's eyes, like in this picture of the late Rev. Tom Hunter with a newly baptized infant. We are looking for some adults to spend some time exchanging blessings.

We don't have a lot of babies, but we have some, others on the way and a great potential for more! We need some people who would be willing to sign up for a Sunday to check in with the Toddler PreK room to see if there are any… Read full article >
