Family Worship Musings - Transfiguration Sunday
I’m excited to share that the Family Worship service, scheduled for February 10 is taking shape. In the protestant church we have an ancient outline for church that serves us well: gather, word (scripture), respond, send. We do this every time we gather for worship, including our family worship service. While it may not look or sound the same as our traditional worship, they have the same roots. Ring in the New Year with Our Intergenerational Book Gathering
How can we use literature as a catalyst to deepen our faith? Children in grades k-6, their parents and all other interested adults are invited to read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis prior to January 13th. In three sessions we will use drama, games and small group discussions to explore the book’s Christian themes. We will meet in room 221 January 27 from 10-10:50am and 11:20am-12pm. Twenty copies of the book are available for borrowing –check one out from the church office. Questions?
