Happy Thanksgiving!!

Raising Spiritually Healthy Children

Families who are a part of faith communities often ask, what can I be doing at home? How can I help my kids grow into their own spirituality? Honestly, there are very simple things we can do as a family that will naturally encourage spiritual growth . . . things that a lot of which families do anyway. Still, it's nice to know that the things we do are helping our kids in this way. Nancy Bostrom wrote a lovely little book called, 99 Ways to Raise Spiritually Healthy Children, from which I will share exerpts weekly to plant seeds, share ideas, and offer encouragement for families of ALL SHAPES AND SIZES.

Plymouth's Online Advent Calendar

Pastoral Musings: Online Advent Calendar

The season of Advent is an expectant time and a time that invites reflection either as a family or individually. Stewardship for Children

Stewardship

Thanksgiving is a terrific season for introducing stewardship to our kids! At 10to10 this Sunday we are going to talk with the kids about what it means to participate in church and pouring out our lives for the good of our community. We will be giving the kids stewardship cards that they can fill out to tell us how they would like to participate in our community in the coming year. They might decide to bake cookies for coffee hour, welcome new kids in class, help set up classrooms or give some of their allowance. We'll get a copy of their card to you so that you're in the loop!

blessings,

Karen
