The State of the Children's Program

I was sharing wiht the CY Board the other night about what a joy it is to spend time with your kids and watch them grow in faith and confidence. In addition to our church school classes, we have a number of exciting programs in our midst for children. Our Toddler/PreK kids stay in their classroom for the majority of the morning with a group of dedicated teachers. Jamie Shilling plays music with them and creates with the teachers a wee worship experience. Great Family Worship!

We had a wonderful Family Worship service last Sunday. We had a dramatic reading of the story of the Lost Sheep with Jesus (Cyrus) as the storyteller, and a shepherd (Beatta) and sheep (K12 class). Families and friends got in groups and talked about experiences of being lost or losing something of value to them. Several kids shared stories with the larger group about being lost in stores and malls - experiences that we've all had! We heard a dialogue of poetry from Hafiz, Joyce Rupp and the Psalms that illuminated the relationship between us and God during those seasons where we are lost or hiding from God. Sexuality, Your Teen & Faith

Hello Plymouth Families
Last month we hosted our first in a series of workshops for the parents/guardians of youth. Kevin Haggerty from the UW facilitated a great conversation on "Substances, Your Teen, & Faith".
On Sunday, March 24th from 12:30p-1:30p we'll have our second workshop on "Sexuality, Your Teen, & Faith" with Amy Johnson.
Amy Johnson holds her MSW, is a Certified Sexuality Educator, and is a contributing author to the book, "Parenting by Strengths." Amy is active in her community through her regular newspaper column entitled "Sex in the Suburbs" and as the Youth Director at Wayside UCC. Wednesday, March 13 - Lenten program with worship and dinner - Families are invited to attend!

Saturday, March 16 - Andra Moran Workshop 9am-4pm. Worship at 7pm.

Sunday, March 17
