Working Together to Strengthen Puppetry
is a collaborative project that aims to build better infrastructure for puppetry in England. The project involves puppeteers, puppet venues, theatres, and film and TV producers, together with advice and support from leaders in other sectors such as street arts, circus, and higher education. The project is supported by Arts Council England, with additional support from Royal Central School of Speech & Drama’s Centre for Research into Objects and Puppets in Performance.
WE WANT YOUR INPUT!
Over the next four months a committee will be thinking about areas such as training, programming, career opportunities, funding and how we can work together to raise puppetry’s profile in the UK.
To ensure the committee is on the right lines, we need up-to-date information about the experiences of people in the sector. We also want to know what you think will make a difference.
The outcome of this project will be a realistic action plan that aims to help puppetry fulfil its potential. This is an unusual opportunity for us to work together to make a real difference to the future of puppetry in England.
Below, please find a series of questions – please make time to answer them by 31 October 2014.
