The Great Puppet Party is Just Around the Corner...

This Sunday 16th November, 4-10pm at Battersea Arts Centre!


Programme of Events

16:00 - 17:00, BAC Foyer - WELCOME. Greetings and Gathering, with music and a show or two.

17:00 - 19:00 - Stampede to the Fairground Celebration of the 40th Anniversary party (bar open!) - with extraordinary performances by:

Nenagh Watson, James Arnott, Ronnie LeDrew, Beccy Smith and Darren East, Siȃn Kidd, Joni-Rae Carrack, Jenny Dee, Kati Francis, Richard Robinson, Peter Charlton, Jane Eve, Iestyn Evans, Stan Middleton and Soledad Zarate, Alex Lehman, Mandy Travis, Ivan Thorley and 'Puppets with GUTS', Oli Smart, Puppetry students from Royal Central School of Speech & Drama and other surprise guest performers.

19:00 - A toast to Puppetry and the Puppet Centre

20:00 - 22:00 (approx.) - Further performances,dancing and socialising. The talented DJ Luke Plowden will be spinning an eclectic mix of old and new tunes throughout the evening.

Design team led by Alison Alexander, Ivan Thorley, Caroline Partridge with some fantastic volunteers. Special fairground static puppets by Darryl Worbey.
Party organisers: Penny Francis, Mervyn Millar, Roxana Haines and the Design leaders.

Please bear in mind that the order of events might change slightly on the day

How to Find Us

By Train
Battersea Arts Centre is a 10 minute journey from either Waterloo or Victoria station, and is also on the Overground. Take the train to Clapham Junction, then exit on St. John's Hill and turn left. BAC is a 5-10min walk up Lavender Hill.

By Bus
Routes 345, 77, 87, 156 and G1 stop on Lavender Hill outside BAC.

By Car
BAC is on Lavender Hill, SW11 5TN. Please note that on Sunday there are no praking restrictions on the roads around Battersea Arts Centre.
