In August 2022 (Tuesdays from 6:45-7:30PM Eastern Time), we are studying Sanskrit alphabet characters (50 total), pronunciation, mantras, and their relationship to the body. The Sanskrit characters have a one-to-one mapping to the petals on each of the seven major cakras. There are 4, 6, 10, 12, 16, and 2 petals respectively on the root, sex, solar plexus, heart, throat, and forehead cakras. The next cakra is the sahasrara or “thousand-petaled” cakra. All the 16 vowel sounds map to the petals of the throat cakra. When you vibrate the body through chanting (and especially specific mantras targeted to various issues) you are vibrating the petals associated with the sound, and therefore, you are vibrating the cakras together. This vibrational energy, is distributed within the body itself, through the mind, and beyond into the field that exists beyond the physical, mental, and spiritual bodies, into that place where we are conscious with the Eternal, Divine, Unseen Creative Forces. In some respects this “field beyond” reminds me of Rumi’s poem “Beyond”: “Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about. Ideas, language, even the phrase "each other" doesn't make any sense.” In this way, when the “ideas, language, and each other” do not make any sense, the vibrations can carry information to go beyond the physical known world and connect us through to the other side (or the field beyond). I urge you to look at the latest James Webb Telescope (JWT) photos of our Universe. Over 13 billion years of light traveling, just now hitting our planet, is amazing. Time and space and relativity. Physicist Stephen Hawkins wrote about his multiverse theory in 2018, but passed away before the JWT launched Christmas Day 2021. The JWT will provide data to test the multiverse theory, as well as further study the Universe. The important thing is that we can through our meditation connect to that beyond, similar to how we go places through dreaming and return to the conscious daily world we know. I’m expecting good things to come from Beyond.
With respect to meditation, at 7:30-8:15PM Eastern Time, there is an opportunity to join others listening to the guided meditation “Coherence” (from Dr. Joe Dispenz’s Becoming Supernatural book).

Every man is building into his consciousness the three departments of God-Mind, and his success in the process is evidenced by the harmony, in his consciousness, of Spirit, soul, and body. If he is all body, he is but one-third expressed. If to body he has added soul, he is two-thirds man, and if to these two he is adding Spirit, he is on the way to the perfect manhood that God designed." (Charles Fillmore Christian Healing 22)
We are a Trinity of spirit, soul, and body, not in the abstract but in recognizable, concrete terms. We are a manifestation of the Trinity. As Mr. Fillmore writes, the Trinity within each person "... manifests in an identity peculiar to the individual."
In my youth, I spent a lot of time reading this wonderful book called “Wisdom from World Religions” by John Templeton. I came across a phrase called Spiritual Wealth several times. It intrigued me, and I thought if anyone knew about spiritual wealth it should be this man who is so well known for his generosity. So, I gave a lot of thought to spiritual wealth. It seems we build spiritual wealth by doing spiritual work. That makes sense, of course. We study, we pray, we meditate, we give, we forgive, we do service and in doing these things we build our spiritual wealth. I like the idea that I am building on my spiritual “bank account.” Mr. Templeton wrote, “By giving, you grow (spiritually).”
We enter the Month of August which was named for the Roman emperor Augusts Julius Caesar. He was emperor of Rome at the time of the birth of Jesus Christ. At that time the Roman empire extended over the greater part of the then known world.
The Revealing word defines Augustus as: The worship of the will ruling in selfishness and directed by human reason (sacred, kingly, venerable; a Roman emperor). When one is in this state of consciousness the intellect is his god, and he believes that his good can be increased (augmented) and that his dominion, power, and honor can be extended through his setting up the sense consciousness. He proclaims self as the rightful ruler in his entire being, instead of denying self and acknowledging God (Divine Mind) as the one source of all authority and of all existence.
What was brought to mind when I read this that the Intellect was the ruling power of man at the time of the birth of the Christ.
This led me to the conclusion that we can birth the Christ and give up dominion of our intellect to allow the ruling power of Divine Mind to come into our consciousness and therefore our lives.
This August-choose to live through Christ Consciousness and not the power of Augustus!

Our Operations/Policy Manual is being updated to meet the Centre's needs by Rev Rose. A license for music for podcasts is moving forward by Larry Etheredge. Parking lot repairs are on hold until after the Trunk sale.
We have received no responses from the posting for the Ministerial Search by the current UWM Graduating class.
2022-2023 Budget will be presented and reviewed in September meeting.
The Nominating Committee for New Board Members consists of Mark Klotz, Janet Thornton and Rev Rose so contact them and follow your heart and become a new board member this October.
