Oh happy day Jaycees!

HI ALL! Hope you are doing spectacular! Personally, I had a fantastic month of May. Want to give a big thank you to Exalted COB Sarah Schwefel for taking the reins at the May Meeting. I am sorry I missed it, but I was getting my nerd on in Washington DC. Hope you all had fun at the Open House though, good job Membership team!! Looks like I missed a grand ol' time!

Down to brass tacks people. One word. Accountability. The Jaycees are a volunteer driven organization that does good in our community and provides betterment of ourselves. Remember that blah blah? I've said it time and time again. Put effort in and you will get tenfold out. But if you are not putting in the effort, what are you getting out? Nothing. Nada. Zip. So I urge you to realign yourselves to the Jaycee mission. If you sign up for an event - SHOW UP ON TIME. If you can't go, let the chairperson know. They are counting on your help at whichever event or meeting it is. We value you, your attendance and your input! I know it is getting nice out, weird right, but don't let that keep you away from your Jaycee friends and duties. We'll miss you too much! If you can't attend or doesn't interest you, totally fine! Just don't commit to anything you know you can't do. If it doesn't tickle your fancy, find something else or hell, create a new project! Eh? Eh?

Each and every summer we have events that pose to be HUGE for our chapter and community. 4th of July Beverage tent - GINORMOUS money maker with little cost and effort. And how can we forget BRAT DAYS?! Even the smaller events this summer will be fun - Jaycee Rummage Sale, Jaycee Camping, Donating Blood, Happy Hours, Beach Clean Up? Duh, too much fun, I don't even know why I need to tell you guys this. Check them out..

Other than all that jazz - been having a great time as your President. Appreciate you all for your support so far this year. Makes this girl smile! Oh hey btw think about upcoming Friends/Foundation elections if you want to really try something new. And don't forget to start thinking about your 2016 board position. Never too early!

So all I am asking is simple. If ya sign up, show up. I think ya'll can do that :) See you soon!

Fellow Jaycees,

Only two meetings left to help plan Brat Days 2015. Please consider joining the Brat Days Committee as we still have some spots left and can use the help. Most notably, we are looking for someone to train to take on the local parades from Sarah; Mychal and Mike could use some help in Main Food food area. Any questions about these positions please let me know or contact Sarah Schwefel for parades.

Sign up to help out for setup, as we will be at Kiwanis Park starting Monday, July 27 getting ready for Brat Days. Also, watch for Manpower's signups for stand chair sign ups for the run for Brat Days Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  Don't forget about clean up on Sunday either.

Our next meeting is Thursday, June 11 at 7PM at Weimann's Sport Bar. Meetings will be the 2nd Thursday of each month at Weimann's. Check us out to see what areas are available or just come to learn more about what it takes to run Brat Days.

Hello Jaycee volunteers!

Part of being a Jaycee is about making our community better. We do this with our money raising events that raise money for worthy charities or we go out and directly help out where help is needed. If you're looking for a way to help go to our next chapter meeting and learn about our upcoming events.

A big thank you goes out to those who donated blood May 21st at the Sheboygan Red Cross center! It felt great to know that we were potentially saving lives by giving a little bit of blood and time. We've been keeping track of our donations through the Red Cross app so if you are interested in donating please use this app and join the Jaycee team. If you have any questions please let me know :-)

Warm & Fuzzy

This month's warm and fuzzy is gathering items together for the upcoming rummage sale, specifically the brat fry during it. We are in need of...
  • Buns
  • Hamburgers
  • Condiments
  • Charcoal
If you could bring one or all of theses items to the June Chapter Meeting it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
