O...M...G... Brat Days!

Haha! Hi there my fellow Jaycees!

Guys you’ve all heard that we need help. You’ve seen the emails, heard the speeches, gotten the texts, it’s the same every year. Brat Days is HUGE! Which is why we need all hands on deck. It’s time for us to represent our organization and show everyone what we can do.

It’s going to be an awesome Brat Days. I’m truly looking forward to it. I’m looking forward to the good workout that comes from setting up. I’m looking forward to seeing my friends, family, and local citizens down on the grounds. Folks enjoying an awesome concert and kids jumping six feet in the air in our bouncy houses. Most of all I’m looking forward to working side by side with my fellow Jaycees (AWW Nick has feelings).

Mid-Year Convention
September 16-18
Landmark Resort in Egg Harbor, WI

Join chapters across the state as we gather Egg Harbor to celebrate the success of our organization in 2016! Hotel rooms are available within the JCI Wisconsin room block. To ensure rate and availability, book your rooms within the JCI Wisconsin room block by August 2nd for 1 &2 bedrooms, and June 14th for a 3 bedroom. Click HERE for the registration form.

Room Rates (plus taxes):  
  • $140/night for 1bed/1bath
  • $184/night for 2bed/1bath
  • $216/night for 2bed/2bath
  • $357/night for 3bed/2bath
Registration rates are as follows:
  • $78 Early Rate for all events throughout weekend ($93 after 8/20/16)
  • $70 Early Rate for Saturday Day /Evening ($85 after 8/20/16)
  • $39 Early Rate for JCI WI 2016 State Officers ($54 after 8/20/16)

JCI Wisconsin/Middleton 15th Annual State Volleyball Tournament • August 13-14

The tournament will consist of Pool Play Saturday and Championship Matches for all teams on Sunday. No minimum number of players and no requirements for men/women per team. Team check in on site Saturday morning prior to the 8:45 a.m. Captain’s Meeting.
  • $100 Jaycee Team or $120 Non‐Jaycee Team Fee includes weekend long tournament and Saturday social event.

      Another month down say goodbye to July and hello August. The management team got together to work on dates that letters of intent will be due for medium to larger projects and will be posted to the wiki shortly so please keep an eye out for that. Also please keep an ear open for upcoming training for the wiki/CPG training. Please remember to sign up to volunteer for this years Glo Run, It's only next month already! It is our great pleasure and honor to let you know that we are here to help you in any project, even if it is the smallest thing needed, to make sure everything goes as smooth as possible. 
      So us as a team we can help you with CPGs (Chairman Planning Guide) no matter if you need one for a project you are running or if you need to know how to update one on the wiki. As far as that is said, we will be having a training class soon on how to use the wiki. Please contact Jenna Van Der Sande on the date or dates she plans on doing the class.
      Also, our team is here to help you find volunteers for a project you are running. Some of our projects like Brat Days and Dominion of Terror already have a manpower team to get volunteers but even these projects need a little back up help as goes for our smaller projects. One of our projects, that is coming up and we need a lot of help with, is Brat Days, which is August 4-6. If you have nothing to do or have off and could help a little that would be awesome. Just show up at the manpower tent and they will place you where you are needed.
       Lastly, us as the management team would like you to have fun at your projects and when done with the event make sure to finish all tasks that are needed to finish the projects. If you missed something we will let you know what you missed. It's been a great year so far, let's continue to make it that way.

Brat Days • August 4-6


Fellow Brat Days Enthusiasts!

If you are reading this, then Brat Days is finally here! Come on down to Kiwanis Park and join us if you aren't already down there while you read this! We have a lot of set-up work to be completed Monday, August 1 through the start of the event at 4PM on Thursday, August 4th! Starting then we need you to help with tickets, beer, food, brat trot, parade, and more! We have fun events for everyone this year so be sure to personally invite your friends and families down to the grounds!

I hope to see everyone down at the traditional membership meeting on Wednesday at 7PM at Kiwanis. At this meeting you can pick up your t-shirts and parking passes for this year if you are signed up to volunteer!

Finally - a huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to this year's Brat Days - the committee, past chairs, members, roosters, sponsors, community members, friends, family and more! Brat Days truly is a collaborative effort! 

Come on down to the Grounds and enjoy a BRAT!!!

4th Annual Glo Run • Friday, September 23


The GLO RUN is a FUN 5k run/walk that takes place in Evergreen Park. The GLO RUN of course takes place at night so bring your flashlights, reflective vests, and glow sticks! (A free glow stick will be provided and more glow items will be available for purchase.) The course will be decorated with lights and lanterns. This run happens RAIN or SHINE (well moon light haha). Proceeds from the GLO RUN will go to 2 great local charities this year: The Sheboygan Parks Project and the Tee Box. Dominion of Terror


Hello everyone! Hope you are all having a great summer so far. I would like to thank everyone who has come down to help out so far. We will be open in only little over 2 months. WOW! Time flies!  We have been working on the house for the last few months, slowly making progress. If anyone is interested in helping out, please come down anytime. If you have any questions regarding the project, please give me a call. We are always looking for volunteers. Boy, could we use your help finishing the DOT for the 2016 season.

This means several things:
  1. Less than 70 days from now Dominion of Terror Haunted House will be open for business. That may seem like a lot of days, but it's coming sooner than you think. There is spectacular progress down at the house already, BUT we could use some extra hands to paint, haul, and staple. Can you manage a couple hours? We are open Monday thru Friday at 6pm and Saturdays as well at 12pm. An hour or two will make a huge difference in a Room Builder's life!
  2. We are having a big work day Aug 20 where you will get TRIPLE work hours and Aug 28 you will get DOUBLE work hours.
  3. There will be a new incentive for construction this year, we will have two different shirt designs! Yes that's right. One design for construction and one for working when we are open in October. The ONLY way to get the construction shirt is to come down and help, it will not be able to be purchased. Preview coming soon.

Game Night Social & Dining Club • Wednesday, August 24 @ 6pm


Enjoy a fun-filled evening of hanging out with fellow Jaycees and be sure to invite your friends with our Facebook event! Join us for games such as Giant Jenga, Cards Against Humanity, Taboo, and more! This event doubles as our Dining Club because we'll be at Jakum's. They are a huge sponsor for the Dominion of Terror and the Jaycees, so please consider attending this event and make it a huge turnout!

Brewers Outing • Saturday, August 27


Watch the Brew Crew take on the Pirates! We'll be meeting at 2:00 pm at the I-43/County V park-n-ride to carpool. We'll tailgate when we get to Miller Park and the game starts at 6:10 pm. Participation Incentives

Did you know that every time you run a project, attend a meeting, or participate in our events that you are working your way towards the chance to win fabulous prizes? Throughout the year we're tracking the participation of all chapter members so that at our banquet in January we convert the points into tickets that can be used to enter into drawings for tons of awesome prizes. We've had prizes such as Coach purses, power tools, tablets, gift cards, gift baskets, and much more. So be sure to sign-in at every meeting or event in order to earn as many points as possible.
