The 40th year of the Dominion of Terror is one for the Jaycees history books! The passion that people have for this project is a testament to the power of what it means to "provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change." Throughout October I heard many people refer to their "DOT Family" and I think that is one of the key factors in why this project continues to be a success year after year. Loyalty and camaraderie develops when we get together and put our blood, sweat, and tears into a project such as this. That alone makes the project a success, but we go beyond that by using the proceeds to further contribute to the community by funding projects such as Spend With a Friend and the Food Bank in addition to the annual donation to RCS. Everyone who was a part of DOT shares a great sense of pride in this project and the Sheboygan Jaycees.

Congratulations to Nina and Jenna for leading an awesome scaring season and for upholding the Dominion of Terror tradition into its 40th year and beyond!

Hello DOTers!

Well it's November and we are blown away at how fast the DOT year has gone. Seems like just yesterday we were submitting our letter of intent to chair the house for the 2014 season. Guess it's true when they say "time flies when you're having fun" because we cannot believe it's over already. We had such a great time co-chairing this project! We learned so much with having to co-chair and gained so much experience in sharing tasks and delegation and of course made so many new friends because of this project, and we are so thankful. Want to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all of our committee and room builders for supporting us and the themed house in our 40th Year!! We appreciate you more than you know. And also of course a HUGE thank you to all who volunteered at the house all summer long and during October. We could not have been as successful as we were if it wasn’t for all of you. We are humbled at the outpouring of support and grateful to have been able to co-chair this project together.
So congratulations to all of our AWESOME DOT volunteers... we were successful all because of you. Thank you.

Love - 2CHAIRZ, Jenna and Nina

22nd Annual Holiday Parade
"Winter Wonderland" Theme
5pm Sunday, November 30 • Downtown Sheboygan

The Holiday Parade takes place the Sunday after Thanksgiving each year.
Fellow Jaycees,

After going over the many letters of intent and much deliberation, I have been chosen as the 2015 Chairman of Johnsonville Brat Days Presented by the Sheboygan Jaycees. I really would have liked to have at least some friendly competition, maybe next year!

I know next Brat Days seems a long way off, but this is when we start our planning. So, please consider joining the Brat Days Committee and me on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 7PM at Weimann's Sport Bar. Meetings will be the 2nd Thursday of the Month at Weimann's except for January, it will be the 3rd Thursday of the Month. Check us out to see what areas are available to Chair or just come to learn more about what it takes to run Brat Days.

Hope to see a lot of old and new faces, because it takes everyone to pull Brat Days together.

We need your stuff for the Jaycees rummage sale!

Although June 12-14, 2015 feels like a loooong way in the future, now is the time to start thinking about the Jaycees rummage sale because we need your stuff! Many of us are cleaning and organizing our homes this fall, so now is the perfect time to set aside items to donate to the Jaycees rummage sale. This will be an awesome fundraising project with proceeds benefiting local charities. If you have any questions please contact Ashley Yurk at ayurk@hsabank.com or 920-207-0893.

Throughout the year Ashley Yurk is tracking the participation of all chapter members so that at our banquet in January we convert the points into tickets that can be used to enter into drawings for tons of awesome prizes. We've had prizes such as Coach purses, power tools, tablets, gift cards, gift baskets, and much more. So be sure to sign-in at every meeting or event in order to earn as many points as possible. Hello My Fellow Do-Gooders! â€‹

Turkey Baskets - Saturday, November 22 - Chairperson Ashley Yurk
The goal of this annual project is to gather food together and deliver everything for a Thanksgiving feast to local families in need. We will meet at Aldi at noon to shop, then go to Ashley's house to organize everything, and then deliver the food to the recipient families. A sign-up sheet will be available at the November chapter meeting.

Post-Holiday Food Bank - Jodie and Julie have teamed up to bring us another great project to help our community. The Post-Holiday Food Bank will be held January 9-10th. The idea behind this is that although holidays are a great time to donate food, the need for hungry families is still there after the holidays are over. This Food Bank will help those who will still be in need after the holiday rush is over.

Warm & Fuzzy November - Canned FOOD donations for the January Food Bank - let's start early to help these ladies fulfill their goal to feed needy families in January.

Remember... service to humanity is the BEST WORK OF LIFE... so let's donate what time we've got - to better not only our lives, but the community at large.
