A moment... 5 seconds can remind you why you’re a Jaycee. I had one of these moments during our event Easter Baskets. At this event we delivered family dinners to those that needed it most. When I delivered my dinner I was truly thanked by the receiving family. They had been hurting financially the past year and they told me receiving this dinner was the greatest act of kindness they’d had in quite awhile. Seeing the joy on their faces was a moment that reminded me of why I’m a Jaycee.

We are always looking to add members to our organization that share our passion for helping others. If you or someone you know has any interest in joining the Sheboygan Jaycees I’d recommend coming to one of our Chapter meetings or contact me directly with the number above.

Have a great April and I hope to see you at our upcoming events (which are listed above, check them out).

Good bye March and hello April! One quarter of the year is done but the best is yet to come. We have many projects coming up including two in April: Tourney of Taverns and Terror in April! The Management team continues to be here if you need us. Please feel free to email or call us if there is anything we can do for you. We want every project to be successful.

Tourney of Taverns • Saturday, April 16

Hello all, it's finally time for TOT!  All participating bars are signed up and we are now waiting for team registrations. Also, if anyone has any desire to help with game monitoring or assisting with the day's events in any way, it would be greatly appreciated.  Manpower sign up will be at the chapter meeting. You can also let me know directly if you are interested in helping out.  I look forward to this year's TOT being a successful and fun event.

Brat Days • August 4-6

Four months! Only four more months until the Sheboygan Jaycees put on our annual “little brat fry”!!!
I can’t believe how quickly the planning goes. I want to thank all the committee members who have put in months of work so far to get the planning underway! Some areas have to wait before additional action can get started, but other areas have been hard at work for months!
It always amazes me how a group of volunteers can work together to put together a large community event such as Brat Days! Through this event we are able to provide leadership opportunities to our members and volunteers while also giving back to our community in a multitude of ways!
If you are still looking to get involved in Brat Days, we NEED and WANT you! One area that still needs to be filled is Main Food! This area is responsible for a considerable portion of our income by providing delicious brats to our attendees! This would be a great spot for a small group of individuals to work together and take the lead. Let me know if you are interested!
As we thaw out from winter, the memories of listening to music while enjoying a cold beverage and a delicious bratwurst in the heat of summer at Kiwanis Park are not far away! I hope you join us down there this year to make new memories!
Interested in joining the Brat Days Committee fun? Come join us! Our next meeting is Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 7PM at Holiday’s Pub & Grill.
Looking forward to a fantastic Brat Days in 2016!

Warm and Fuzzy

This month we are going to be donating to an organization called We Believe. This organization was founded by Jeff and Julie Kirschner in memory of their son Jake who at the age of 15 was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. They support the pediatric cancer families and patients at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin by making blankets for the kids going through treatments to keep them warm. They are always in need of Fleece Blanket material, so please bring a donation of 1.5 to 2 square yards of fleece blanket material to the next chapter meeting April 7th. Thank You for supporting a great cause.

"Adopt A Street" Cleanup
Friday, April 22 at 6pm • La Quinta Inn

In honor of Earth Day, we're getting together to pick up trash on the Jaycees' adopted street. We promise the fun of getting some sun while doing some good. We will be meeting at the La Quinta Inn parking lot (next to Luigi's) on Wilgus Ave. and dispersing from there. Bags will be provided.
Remember... service to humanity is the BEST WORK OF LIFE... so let's donate what time we got - to better not only our lives, but the community at large. See ya there! Check out our Facebook event.
