Important Message from President Davenport

Good morning,

I wanted to take a moment today to update you on a decision I have made to help international students who are facing financial difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many students have asked that we consider making changes to the way health insurance premiums are charged.

After consulting with international students, cabinet, and the System Office, I am pleased to announce changes to the international student health insurance premium process. This change will be in effect for this year:

The international student health insurance premiums of $1,801 that were due to the university in full by late July may this year be paid in two installments, $901 due early August and the remaining $900 due mid-December.

Full details of the change will be posted on the Kearney Center for International Student Services web site and emailed to all students when they are settled.

I pledge that our university will continue to listen and respond as best we can to your needs. And we will continue working to support all of our students during this crisis. We are proud of our university’s record of creating a welcoming campus for international students. We are glad you are here as valued members of our university community.

Kind regards,

Richard Davenport
President

Message from Dean Dahlman

As you have heard, we will be using FlexSync as the instructional method on campus in the fall.  We want to hear from you students and what you need for supports to be successful in that environment so we can train faculty to be the best instructors in this environment as can be. Please respond to this 10-question survey. Many students have already responded across campus, and I want to make sure that we also hear from international students:
