Strategy Development

Learnworks has always advised organizations on their L&D strategies - it is one of our core activities.

I was asked to record a video on the subject for GiveBackUK who have shared the video with Trainingzone.  You can click the image above or this link to see it.

Need a strategy developing?  Learning in organisations should be closely linked to the organisation’s strategy and purpose. A well written organisational strategy is clearly communicated to all parts of the enterprise.  Read more

All the L&D strategies which Learnworks helps to produce are tailored specifically to the organisation's needs.  We don't take a 'one size fits all' approach, but base the approach on a detailed understanding of what you need to achieve and the resources you may have available.

Informal Learning in Organizations

Following the success of Complete Training: from recruitment to retirement,  my new book Informal Learning in Organizations: How to create a continuous learning culture  is published on September 3rd.

The book is now available for pre-order via the Kogan Page website as well as from bookshops and other online book resellers.

I 'll be speaking about some of the findings of the book, especially in relation to social networks at Learning Live on September 10th 2015. The session is called Liking Ain't Learning and will be exploring the use and abuse of social networks in support of capability development. This session will draw on recent research and my own findings of what really works through case studies with leading organizations.

If you'd like me to speak at an event and outline my key findings, please get in touch.

I'll be providing updates and sneak previews between now and publication day on the Learnworks website. To check out the contents of the book, click here.

Are leaders born or made?

Inspired by the recent cricket test series between England and New Zealand I wrote a blog about leadership development on TrainingZone

Are leaders born or made?  Here are my thoughts - if you agree or disagree please join the debate.
