Spring blooms.

Winter clean up began right on time. We're still catching up with fall clean up from last year, but it feels good this season!

Anemones are some of our earlier blooms.
Early bloomers.

Michigan Flower Farm Newsletter Florists Website

Happy Spring Everyone! It is such an exciting time of year regardless of what the world throws at us. Mom Nature gives us a chance at rebirth.

I hope this newsletter finds you all happy and healthy. I know the insanity is getting to us. We can hope for the best, prepare for the worst, and behave with kindness. Simple things really matter in time like these, and we can all make a difference.

For example: A gentleman ahead of me in the self-checkout bought the last 2 packages of toilet paper. He heard the elderly woman behind him saying she really needed toilet paper and was fretting over what to do. He checked out, paid, turned around and handed the woman one of his packages. Tears just flowed, over t.p. mind you.  Kindness is easy, inexpensive, but matters so very much during these times. Let's flood the news with kind acts!

Weather-wise, late winter has been fabulous, and it seems spring will be also. Work we weren’t able to touch until late last April is already underway for 2020. The tulips and peonies began peeking up a full month ahead of last year. I think we’re going to see early blooms – or blooms in a more normal, timely, fashion than we have for the past two years. It’s still early-things could change; but right now it's feeling like we may have a good growing season.

Our website has been rebuilt over the winter and should be completely finished by the end of the month. Still a few things to figure out and tidy up. We now have a landing page for Florists and other Flower Professionals here.

We miss you all and look forward to seeing everyone this season!

Our Flower Cart - 9 Mile is open! We know many of you fought the road closure last season, and we appreciate it! If the weather holds, our Flower Cart should be opening much sooner this year.

To our wedding couples- Please don't forget to schedule your wedding date as early as possible. We've still got some openings through the season, but are almost fully booked for 2020. Wedding and Event Information can be found here. Thanks!

Printable Price List ~ Prices change throughout the season, but not dramatically. This list will help you to plan your floral budget.

What Blooms When ~ This is a printable PDF of tentative bloom times for most of the flowers we grow. Please be aware that many things determine bloom times and you should always contact us in advance, as this is by no means a guarantee of what will be in bloom.

Florist and Floral Designers ~ For those who don't wish to D.Y.I., this is a list of extremely talented florists and floral designers who work with our flowers. You are also free to use your own florist or floral designer.

Until next newsletter, take care and God bless ~ Michigan Flower Farm

Peonies shot up a month ahead of last year. Their bloom time is pretty consistent within a week or regardless, but it's nice to see them!
