President Obama's 2015 budget calls for an increase in Housing Programs
The Obama Administration has proposed  in the White House budget $1 Billion towards a national housing trust fund that was created in 2008 but has not been funded.

Low Income Tax Credits benefit area developers including CBN Members
The Missouri Housing Development Commission approved $137 million in state tax credits last week. CBN member DeSales Community Housing Corporation will receive $1.7 million in low-income tax credits for acquiring, building, and rehabbing of homes. CBN members Beyond Housing, Lemay Housing Partnership, and Rise also were allocated tax credits  For the full story click here.

14th Annual St. Louis Earth Day Symposium
St. Louis Earth Day will host its Symposium entitled, "Regional Sustainability: Vision and Reality'" on April 1-2nd at the Powder Valley Nature Center.  For more information click here.

2014 National Interagency Community Reinvestment Conference
The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and Chicago along with other regulators will host this event on March 30th-April 2nd at the Hyatt Regency Chicago in Chicago, IL.  This conferemce will offer CRA exam training, community development tours of the Chicago area and more.  For more information click here

2014 NLIHC Housing Policy Conference
The National Low Income Housing Coalition hosts its annual policy conference on April 27th-30th in Washington, DC. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the organization and will reflect on the past 40 years and approaches for the future of solving low-income housing issues in America.  For more information click here.

EHOC's 17th Annual Fair Housing Training Conference

Great Rivers Greenway Ped and Bike Webinar Series

Contracts 101
The St. Louis City Community Development Administration is hosting the first workshop in its Non-Profit Capacity-Building Workshop Series.  The workshop is entitled "Contracts 101" and will be held on Monday, March 31 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.  Representatives from the SLU Law Legal Clinic and a local attorney will present on the basics of contracts, contract drafting, and tips for non-profit organizations (including the value of recruiting board members with legal experience). Women on a Mission Seek Grants to Impact College Hill
The grant deadline is March 31st. Applicant agencies must serve the College Hill area in St. Louis, Missouri. The focus areas for giving are Health, Human Services, Education, Arts, Civic, and the Environment. For grant information, click here.

Executive Director
The Laclede's Landing Merchants Association seeks a part-time executive director.
