Measuring CDFIs Impact…and Then Telling Everyone You Know

Leaders in community development have called Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) the “next big thing” in community development (CD) finance. They say that what the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC ) has done over more than 25 years for affordable housing development, CDFIs will do for financial products and services.

Tax Credit Battle Resurfaces in the Missouri Legislature
The Missouri Legislature continues at an attempt to iron out the details concerning tax credits. Corporate taxes, income taxes, and low income housing tax credits are scheduled to be reviewed and decided upon in the upcoming weeks. For the full story click here.

Brownfields grant
The EPA has funds available to assist organizations with brownfield clean-up, revitalization and assessment. Deadlines for these grants are January 22, 2014. For more information click here.
