As of September 1, 2021, our Postgraduate Certificate Program will be a 150-hour program of study, including:
Access and Inclusion in Psychedelic Treatment Webinar Series
12 hours, required
This 10-session series covers key topics related to psychedelics and the socio-political context, ethics, and equitable dissemination of psychedelic therapies. Certificate Program students will complete the series either live or as self-paced video materials. CE is available.
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) for Psychedelic Therapists
16 hours, optional, limited capacity
MBSR is an 8-week meditation course (2-hour sessions) that covers the foundations of mindfulness and its application to the reduction of mental distress. The course is practical and accessible, and will benefit psychedelic therapists by strengthening skills of attention, awareness, and presence. This program, taught by Assistant Trainer David Gumpel, a qualified and experienced MBSR Teacher, includes special focus on the application of mindfulness to psychedelic therapy.
8 hours, optional
This peer-led book club will meet once per month starting in September 2021. Participants will choose, read, and engage in open dialogue about a recent or important book in the field of psychedelic therapy. Fluence staff will be present for support and continuity.
8 hours, optional
Trainees bring a rich variety of existing expertise to the program. The Peers Present series is an opportunity for program participants to present ways they work with psychedelic integration patients, or skills they bring from their practice. Peers will have the opportunity to learn from each other, and practice preparing and deliver professional presentations on the psychedelic-related topic of their choice.
Participants can elect to participate in MBSR and/or the Book Club and Peers Present for an additional 16 hours of programming, bringing their total to 150 hours of study. Mentors will be available to discuss the changes and additional programming options. All currently enrolled program participants are welcome but not required to attend this additional programming. These additions do not change the program fee.
