Unlocking the Doors of Opportunity
Continuation from last week: Success in God's way
The world’s meaning of success is being the master of your own destiny. In other words, it means that if you work hard enough you can become anything you want to be and that you can be the best in the world. This belief of being the very best at what you do and to be at the top of the ladder means no one is like you and supreme.
However, trusting in personal success and achievement gives a false sense that we ourselves are God. The patriarchs who were called to the service of God relied totally on him and they were rich in everything beyond their pagan contemporaries including Job.
It is written in Deuteronomy 8:18a that God empowers to make wealth and He delights in the prosperity of His people. This prosperity includes material wealth as written in Deuteronomy 28:11-13. As you take your eyes away from yourself and focus on Jesus and be occupied by Him and serve others in Him, you shall fulfil purpose and succeed in God's way for your life.
God bless.
