Youth Marijuana Prevention and Education

Thurston, and Wahkiakum Counties
Community Needs Assessment

YMPEP regional partners are working on a Community Needs Assessment, which will be completed by June 13th. The needs assessment survey went out to individuals and organizations who are working in some way to prevent and/or reduce young people's use of marijuana. The assessment will help the program workgroup understand specific needs for prevention and education efforts and identify areas in need of additional resources.

Upcoming Training Programs

Multiple training programs are being offered during Year 1 of the program. YMPEP partners are encouraged to attend, as are members of the wider community:

High in Plain Sight
"You can't stop what you don't know." This workshop is for educators, prevention providers, coalition members, law enforcement, probation officers, school administration, treatment, counselors, and parents. YMPEP is sponsoring four trainings throughout the region, on the following dates:
