Youth Marijuana Prevention and Education

Year 2 Focus
As the second year of the Youth Marijuana Prevention and Education Program (YMPEP) gets underway, the Washington Department of Health (DOH) is defining its focus for year two. The prevention work of the program will look specifically at policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) changes. Look forward to hearing more from DOH about these strategies in the coming weeks.

Upcoming Training Programs

Washington State University Extension is excited to announce Strengthening Families Program fro Parents and Youth 10-14 Years (SFP10-14) Facilitator Training next month in Centralia, WA. The training will occur August 24, 25, & 26 from 8:30AM to 5:00PM at Centralia College. The SFP10-14 curriculum has been recently updated by Iowa State University and this training will be led by an Iowa State University SFP10-14 Master Trainer. This training is currently co-sponsored by WSU Extension, Centralia College, and CHOICE Regional Health Network.
