Cristal Connelly, Marijuana Prevention and Education Coordinator with the Washington State Department of Health, will provide an overview of the recreational marijuana system in Washington State. This workshop will consist of an overview of the law, types of marijuana and methods of consumption, a conversation regarding the retail system, health messaging, as well as what parents, adult consumers, educators, youth and communities should know about preventing marijuana use among youth. The presentation will conclude with a compare/contrast discussion on providing marijuana prevention education messaging to adults vs. youth.

Space is limited to 40 seats for this train the trainer presentation, so register soon at www.myesd.org (session #60204).
