Dear Truro Family,

“…Fear not…” (Luke 2:10)

These are the first two words that the angels said to the shepherds, on that dark night long ago. Words of peace. Words of comfort. Words of reassurance.

And these are the first words that God speaks to you. Into whatever areas of darkness, pain, sin, heartbreak, or loneliness that you’re experiencing right now. This Christmas, be reminded again that God comes down to you. He breaks through. He doesn’t expect you to climb up the ladder to get to him. He comes down the ladder to get to you.

So, fear not.

Allow Jesus to break through even more fully into your life, your home, and your heart. Let him into the dark places, the painful places, and the hidden places. Receive the best gift of all. The unmeasured grace of God in Jesus Christ.

The Nest will offer childcare for children five and under during the 3 PM and 5 PM services on Christmas Eve. Truro Kids, The Nest, and Youth Group will take a break on December 25 and January 1. 

Fill the Manger Christmas Eve
Bring your gifts for moms at Sanctity of Life Ministry and Fairfax Diapers and place them in the manger this Christmas Eve. Please consider donating the following items that will make a difference in the life of a new family:

• Baby clothes – 0 to 3 months (including onesies)

• Baby bottles – natural slow flow nipples 

• Gift cards – Amazon, Walmart, Target 

• Diapers – All sizes and will be distributed to Fairfax Diapers, a non-profit organization that reaches families across Fairfax County. 

January 22nd will be Baptism Sunday here at Truro. If you are interested in being baptized, please complete this application for children and this application for adults. If you have any questions, please email Molly Andreson.

Jamie Brown and Mike Seawright will be leading the teaching for our Men's Retreat at Graves Mountain Lodge in Syria, VA. Our theme will be: "Men After God's Own Heart: Formed by the Psalms of David." Save the date on your calendars!

Sign up for the next Truro Safety Awareness Workshop on Monday, January 23 (7-9 PM) in Common Grounds. This is required training if you volunteer in the following areas: 

• Family Ministry or any ministry interacting with children.
• Outreach/Visitation Ministries
• Prayer Ministry
• TIPS
