Canada's Freakiest Food Truck

Chef Bill Pratt, owner of Cheese Curds and Habaneros in Dartmouth, NS, recently brought Habaneros to Halifax - in a giant lizard!  His first food truck is a school bus that he's transformed into a giant gecko, making it the freakiest food truck in Canada!  You can even climb aboard the Gecko bus to see how your burritos, tacos and burrito bowl salads are prepared AND you can book the Gecko to come to your place of work or special event!  For more information, check out Habaneros website!

Chef Pratt will also be opening a sit-down Habaneros restaurant in Halifax very soon!  To stay in the know, follow Habaneros on Facebook and Twitter!

Cheaper Cheese for Pizza

Following over a decade of lobbying by Restaurants Canada (formerly the Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association or CRFA) members, Canadian restauranteurs will soon be able to buy Canadian mozzarella cheese for use on pizzas at a special discount! Restaurants Canada has negotiated this new cheese price to help offset the discount that frozen pizza manufacturers have enjoyed for many years.  Read the official announcement here!
