Customer Highlight

Legros & Motti

On March 12th, Legros & Motti opened its doors at 127 Harbour Drive in St. John's, NL!

Legros & Motti is a French-Italian fusion restaurant and bar that provides a variety of traditional classics with a modern twist in an atmosphere that combines modern city style and classic European comfort.  Much of the space is very open concept but, due to its size, it also offers areas designed for a more intimate dining experience.  L&M can seat 400 (160 of which are in the bar) and almost all of the seats come with a spectacular, panoramic view of the harbour.

Rob Moore, Wayne Moore and Leo Power have vast experience in the restaurant industry.  They own The Keg in St. John's and in Moncton, Fog City and Klondike Jake's in St. John's, and even developed the Pizza Experts brand which they sold to Pizza Delight in 1990.  The partners recognized the potential for a prime restaurant space on the harbour front and used their knowledge from years of extensive travelling and about 5 years of research to determine the best course of action.  Drawing inspiration from the meat packing districts of New York City and Chicago, they decided on a large warehouse style restaurant to house an original concept restaurant which they named after Rob and Wayne's grandparents, Legros & Motti.

Big Erics supplied Legros & Motti with all its needed smallwares and equipment including rotisserie chicken ovens and specialized equipment for making fresh pasta, some of which was brought in from Italy, France, and the United States.  "Dan [Constantine] certainly was a huge part of researching everything that I threw at him in regards to specialty equipment.  He deserves a lot of credit," says Rob Moore.

This summer, Legros & Motti will be adding a 60 seat patio overlooking the harbour and will be making lots of exciting additions to the food and drinks menu, so be sure to check it out!
