Happy Retirement!
This month, we are saying goodbye to our long-time and highly valued employee, Mr. Ed Wheeler, our Central Newfoundland representative.  Ed has worked here for 35 years, working in several capacities during that time.  Not only is he a great worker, Ed is also a family man and avid outdoorsman.  Everyone here at Big Erics would like to congratulate Ed on his well deserved retirement.  We wish him every happiness (and lots of salmon on his line!) in the years ahead!

Product Highlights

LeVOCC: Advanced Air Purification System

"We at Rochester Midland Corporation are extremely excited and proud to present exclusively to the Restoration market in North America a truly unique and important product which will provide clean and safe ambient air to those working within this trade and those occupants of afflicted disasters." -Bill Gambacort, North American Product Manager, Rochester Midland Corporation

Although in its infancy regarding public awareness, LeVOCC has been validated by the Public Health Agency of Canada as a five-log pulverizer of ambient air contaminants.  Nothing that is currently on the market, and is safe to be operating within the presence of humans, will rate even a one.
LeVOCC is not a filter unit.  Rather, it utilizes a unique catalyst that is composed of platinum and titanium dioxide which, when activated by ultraviolet light, will oxidize airborne contaminants to the RNA level of non-detection.  No one in North America can copy this unique catalyst; the LeVOCC process is patented to North America, the United Kingdom and Germany.  Titanium-only catalysts do exist, but emit very high levels of carbon dioxide.
Research performed by Rochester Midland, as well as by an impartial Environmental Consultant Firm, confirms these findings.  An air quality assessment performed by an independent third-party, of a residence that had been impacted by a fuel oil spill, found very low levels of VOCs after the LeVOCC process.  Those that were detected were generally within or below the range observed in a typical residence.  These reductions resulted even though the mould source was still on the walls during the entire testing period.
LeVOCC has been proven to reduce restoration costs by 70% to 80%, no pack out/content removal costs or masking agents are required when LeVOCC is utilized, and in most instances occupants are able to remain in a restoration disaster environment while LeVOCC is running.  LeVOCC also provides installation and setup, maintenance, indoor air quality testing, regulatory reporting, and air quality consulting services throughout Atlantic Canada.
