Fall Events and Tamarind Lithographs
Dear Friends,

I want to share with you a few upcoming events.

Lithography Editions: Tamarind Institute

In March 2019, I spent two weeks in the Tamarind Institute  student printer collaboration residency.  Working with two printers, Arel Lisette Peckler and Mike Feijen, we created two editions of 10 lithographs, which are now available for purchase from my studio. Please email me if you’d like more information.

ArtsThrive

Four of my paintings will be in the ArtsThrive benefit exhibition at The Albuquerque Museum.  These paintings are an extension of some of the botanical-inspired studies I began while I was at Tamarind. Each are 16x16 acrylic on panel.  After the opening gala, any remaining paintings will be available on the Albuquerque Museum website.

If you can't make it to the gala, the exhibition is open to the public from October 20-December 8. It is worth a trip to the museum to see the 118 artists from around New Mexico and beyond.

On a side note, several of my paintings are in the finalist pool for the New Mexico Art in Public Places Program as part of the 1% for public arts. Crossing my fingers that my work will find a home at one of the state buildings.

I am also pleased to announce that I will be contributing to the New Mexico State Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts as their Marketing Director.  There are many exciting programs ahead, including a March 2020, New Mexico-based exhibition featuring New Mexico artists who have been nominated or selected for the National Women to Watch program.  Women to Watch is an exhibit at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC, featuring women artists from the locations where NMWA has outreach committees. The New Mexico State Committee members sponsor artists to represent New Mexico on this national stage, providing an opportunity to promote the innovative and extraordinary work of our women artists.

Please take a look at this wonderful organization supporting and promoting women in the arts!

Hope you enjoy the beautiful turn of the seasons!

With gratitude,

Jill
